Calling all nannies who LOVE toddlers + dogs! This wonderful family in Mar Vista is searching for a playful, gentle, and professional PART-TIME nanny for their 13-month-old daughter! Schedule is Tuesday-Thursday, 9am-5pm (24/hrs a week). Rate is $30-$40/hr gross DOE (highest rate reserved for candidates with 10+ years of experience). Must be flexible and open to occasional babysitting + dog-sitting outside of regularly scheduled days (subject to nanny’s availability). This job offers a great opportunity to earn extra money without childcare, too! They travel to Canada a few times a year and are looking for a nanny who could provide overnight dog/house sitting while they’re away. Please be up for that!
Duties will include preparing healthy Vegan and kid-friendly meals and snacks for their daughter, light tidying (kids laundry, organization of toys/play areas), driving her to/from activities, and engaging in age-appropriate activities to encourage imaginative, creative play. Please note that both mom and dad work from home so you must be comfortable sharing your work/play space together and be an open communicator. Now for the fur-babies! There are 2 bulldogs in the home who are very important members of the family. You should ONLY apply if you genuinely enjoy animals and are happy to dog sit on occasion.
You should consider yourself an expert in knowing how to use positive phrasing when teaching boundaries, have the ability to foster a toddler’s autonomy and independence, and have a thorough knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones. Get ready for toddler hugs, storytelling, getting messy with arts and crafts, being silly, and talking about feelings – whether she’s sad, mad, happy, or confused, you are there to guide her through the day. The family would love to incorporate Spanish language development as early as possible, so bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, although this is not a requirement.
