Wonderful return clients in the Hollywood Hills are seeking an exceptional Full-Time Family Assistant/Nanny to join their family as they prepare to welcome a new baby. Dad has two awesome children, ages 11 and 13, every other week, and he and his wife are expecting their first baby together soon. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys caring for children of all ages, from newborns to teens and loves creating an organized, welcoming home. This role is a wonderful blend of childcare, family assistance, and household support. During Dad’s parenting weeks, you’ll help with school drop-offs and pick-ups, driving the older children to activities, keeping everyone on schedule, and creating a calm, organized home environment. As the new baby arrives, you’ll also provide loving infant care and become an extra set of hands for the growing family. A strong passion for cooking is essential. The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meal planning, grocery shopping, preparing healthy family dinners, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. Additional responsibilities include light household organization, managing family calendars, coordinating with household vendors, running occasional errands, maintaining household supplies, and anticipating the family’s needs before they arise. Please note that Dad has the older children on a 7 days on / 7 days off custody schedule. He does 90% of the pick-ups and drop-offs, but you will be his parenting partner. During his “off” weeks, your primary focus will shift toward supporting the household and assisting with the new baby, plus handling family assistant responsibilities. Dad works in the entertainment industry and occasionally travels, so flexibility for overnight care and occasional schedule adjustments is appreciated.
DUTIES:
- Provide loving, attentive care for the family’s infant while supporting age-appropriate development, feeding, naps, and daily routines.
- Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups for the older children (ages 10½ and 12) during Dad’s parenting weeks.
- Safely drive the children to and from school, activities, appointments, and playdates.
- Plan, grocery shop for, and prepare healthy family meals, including dinner several nights per week.
- Prepare bottles, infant meals, and snacks as the baby grows and begins solids.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized after meal preparation, including loading/unloading the dishwasher and maintaining cooking spaces.
- Manage the children’s schedules, calendars, backpacks, school communication, and activity coordination.
- Handle children’s laundry, organize bedrooms, toys, closets, and maintain tidy child-related spaces.
- Run family-related errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, post office runs, returns, and other household needs.
- Coordinate with household vendors such as the housekeeper, landscaper, pool service, water delivery, and other service providers as needed.
- Keep household supplies, pantry items, and baby essentials stocked and organized.
- Provide occasional overnight care and travel support when Dad is away for work.
- Anticipate the family’s needs by taking initiative, thinking ahead, and ensuring the home runs smoothly without constant direction.
- Work collaboratively with both parents, providing an extra set of capable hands as they adjust to life with a new baby.
- Assist with additional family assistant and child-related responsibilities as needed while maintaining a positive, flexible, “no-task-too-small” attitude.
