A warm and busy family in La Verne is seeking a dependable, flexible, and engaging nanny to support their two boys, ages 5 and 8. This role is centered around afternoon and evening care Wednesday-Friday, supporting busy school days, and providing consistent structure as the parents’ work travel schedule increases and daytime care on the weekends. The ideal nanny will be confident managing homework, meals, and evening routines, and comfortable stepping in for overnight care during long weekends when parents are away. The family values someone who will engage in creative play, and please note that screen time is limited in the household.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Afternoon and evening childcare for two boys (ages 5 and 8)
- School and preschool pickups
- Homework assistance and academic support
- Meal prep and feeding the children
- Managing evening routines and transitions
- Overnight care on long weekends when parents travel
- Light child-related household support, running errands and general household assistance
LOCATION: La Verne, CA
SCHEDULE:
- Wednesday–Friday: 3:00 PM–10:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm
- 40 hours guaranteed weekly, flexibility is key!
- Some weeks will be heavier on weekends and lighter during weekdays, depending on travel
- Long weekends and overnight stays required when parents are traveling
RATE: $35/hr
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with preschool and school-aged children
- Ability to stay overnight on weekends when parents are traveling
- Reliable, organized, and confident in managing afternoons and evenings independently
- Flexible schedule and comfort with changing weekly needs
- Dog-friendly as they have one older one
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
