A dynamic, high-profile, and creative family in Santa Monica is seeking a thoughtful and experienced nanny to join their team in caring for their three children, ages 6, 4, and 20 months. The family values a holistic, child-led approach and greatly appreciates candidates familiar with Steiner, Montessori, or Waldorf principles, as well as those with additional qualifications related to holistic childcare. They split their time between LA and London, spending 2–3 months abroad each summer, and are looking for someone who can seamlessly travel with them and become an integral part of their family dynamic. DUTIES:

  • Partnering with another nanny and working alongside a very hands-on, supportive parents
  • Child-focused role involving sole charge and collaboration with the household team.
  • Working with one or two children at a time, occasionally caring for all three.
  • Supporting children’s learning and growth through positive, enriching experiences.
  • Providing age-appropriate activities, planning outings, and engaging the children’s imaginations.
  • Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and secure environment.
  • Preparing balanced, nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Assisting with light housekeeping related to children (e.g., laundry, tidying play areas).
  • Keeping a structured yet flexible daily routine to balance activities and rest.

  • Travel Preparation & Packing: Coordinating and organizing all travel-related arrangements for the children, including packing appropriate clothing, toys, educational materials, and essential items for each destination.

LOCATION: Santa Monica and summers in London

COMPENSATION: $35/hr, vacation, sick days, health stipend

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday Up to 60 hours per week (between 7:30 am to 7:30 pm depending on the schedule) Some overnights are required occasionally

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of professional childcare experience
  • Background on Montessori education-related approaches is preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in English and additional languages is a plus.
  • Passionate about holistic and child-led care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other caregivers.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • DBS check or U.S equivalent
  • Valid Passport and ability to travel with the family
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Looking for someone who can commit long term
