A warm, organized, and growing family is seeking a full-time Nanny/Family Assistant to join them long-term as they welcome their first baby in August 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and nurturing candidate who is experienced with newborns and eager to grow with a family over many years. While infant care will be the core responsibility at first, the baby will sleep frequently during the early months—so this role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying engaged during downtime and supporting the household in a variety of ways.
LOCATION: Redondo Beach, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM + flexibility for date nights (likely 1x a week), extra hours, etc
COMPENSATION: $35-$38/hr Gross (on payroll)
DUTIES:
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a newborn and, eventually, multiple children as the family grows.
- Cook family dinners (including occasional bulk meal prep for easy reheating).
- Prepare food for the baby as they transition to solids.
- Handle child-related laundry and light household laundry.
- Maintain general household organization and perform light chores.
- Feed the family’s cats and refresh their water bowls.
- Stay proactive during baby’s naps/downtime by taking initiative with helpful household tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ Year of Experience with newborns and infants.
- Valid Passport – Travel Ready
- Up to Date on Vaccinations (including TDAP, Flu, Covid, Primary Vaccine Schedule, tc)
- Confident Swimmer
- Proactive, reliable, and highly organized.
- Comfortable preparing meals and staying productive during downtime.
- Looking for a long-term role with a growing family.
- Turkish-speaking would be amazing (but not required).
- Must love animals and be comfortable caring for their cats.
The family typically travels approximately once a month (this may look different with a new baby), including 1–2 international trips per year (1–2 weeks each). Nanny will join on most domestic trips and be offered PTO during trips where the nanny is not required. The family plans travel well in advance and would appreciate a nanny who can coordinate at least one week of PTO to align with their plans (such as over the holidays).
This is a long-term position: as the child grows and eventually enters school, the family would love to retain a reliable, supportive family assistant who continues to be a valued part of their day-to-day life. The family is excited and eager to interview, apply today!
