This loving Brentwood Glen family is looking for an engaging full-time nanny who can keep up with two curious, energetic kids while bringing a calm and steady presence to their home! They have an almost 5-year-old son who adores Magnatiles, paper airplanes, games, beach days, and joining his runner dad for little jogs. Their 9-year-old daughter is an opinionated, hilarious tween with big interests like Harry Potter, Indian dance, Legos, violin, reading everything in sight. She thrives with a gentle nudge to stay on top of her homework and practice. Both kids are endlessly curious and would happily live at the science museum if given the chance. Because their son has a severe pistachio and cashew allergy, the family needs someone who is extremely attentive to food safety and comfortable carrying an EpiPen at all times.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM–5:30 PM. Mornings start with getting their son ready for the day by preparing his breakfast, getting him dressed, and a bit of fun learning or play before his school drop-off in Santa Monica. Their daughter’s school bus leaves at 7:30 AM. From 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the nanny becomes the family’s behind-the-scenes hero: tidying kids’ rooms and play areas, doing children’s laundry, running errands (which is a huge help to this family!), managing grocery runs, picking up dry cleaning, and handling light meal prep for everyone. Childcare is always the top priority, and the home already has a housekeeper for deep cleans and full household laundry.
At 1:30 PM, it’s time to pick up their son for an afternoon of activities, adventures, or cozy at-home play. Once their daughter arrives home, the nanny will help juggle the usual whirlwind of after-school activities. Since the children attend private school, with plenty of holidays and random days off, the family needs someone who can work full-time on all those non-school days as well.
