Private couple in Las Vegas, NV are seeking a proactive, confident, and dedicated House Manager/Pet Caretaker to oversee their daily home and property operations while developing a caring and nurturing relationship with their beloved 28-year-old Cockatoo! In this role you will develop efficient work streams, ensure the home is maintained correctly, perform daily errands and general household duties, and provide loving care to their cockatoo. When the couple travels, you will be required to live in and perform pet-sitting duties for the Cockatoo in addition to your other responsibilities. General duties include (but are not limited to) grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, serving casual lunches and dinners and assisting with meal prep and clean-up when the couple cooks, running errands, light housekeeping/general tidying, organizing home projects, expense reporting, developing a household manual and cleaning schedule (for outsourced housekeeping team), inventory maintenance, holiday décor, vehicle maintenance, sorting mail, researching/scheduling household vendors (property repairs, general maintenance, renovations, security system, etc), and overseeing/coordinating household vendors (landscape crew + bi-weekly housekeepers for deep cleaning).

Bird Care: Training will be provided but you must be prepared to work with an exotic bird. Duties include safely transferring the bird from the cage, willingness to hold and interact with the bird (in and out of its cage) and providing extremely close safety supervision when spending daily time outside its cage (proactively “bird-proofing” spaces and constantly watching for chew hazards). You will also be responsible for feeding, watering and administering medication, cage cleaning, and emotional support and companionship.

LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV (Position is Live-Out)

SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri (40 hours/week) + willingness to work weekends when couple travels

COMPENSATION: $80-100K Gross DOE

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ Years of Household Management Experience
• MUST LOVE ANIMALS – Specifically Birds!
• Willing to provide overnight care for Cockatoo when couple travels.
• Comfortable with Meal Planning/Prep
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a PLUS!
• Adept at texting and basic computer skills (such as email, Google Docs spreadsheets, web browsing, etc.)
• Reliable car + clean driving record are necessary. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate.
• Local candidates are preferred; relocation may be considered for the right candidate.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID and compliance with CDC-recommended protocols.
• Flexibility is KEY! This is not the standard “on-the-clock” job but a fluid and flexible role based on the couple’s and the residence’s daily maintenance requirements. Advance notice will be given when travel is scheduled.
