This adventurous, dynamic family is seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to support their 3 children, ages 6, 9, and 11. Based primarily in Ojai, the family also maintains homes in Los Angeles, Montana and Costa Rica, with frequent private travel throughout the year. Both parents are attorneys who are deeply committed to their careers and equally passionate about parenting. Their home is lively, active, and often full of extended family, colleagues, and guests – making this a wonderful opportunity for a nanny who thrives in an energetic, engaged household. The nanny will be responsible for providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care, supporting the children’s Montessori-based education, and assisting the kids with homework as needed while they travel – using curriculum provided by the school. Responsibilities also include coordinating activities and educational support (such as organizing a math tutor, signing the kids up for lessons or activities in a new city), acting as a liaison with teachers, preparing simple meals for the children (primarily breakfasts and occasional lunches), driving the children wherever they need to go (using provided cars), and encouraging a very active, outdoor-focused lifestyle. Screen time is minimal, with an emphasis on time outside, creative play, art projects, reading, and being out in the world.
LOCATION: Ojai, CA (with extensive domestic and international travel)
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE: Full-time, live-in. The schedule comes in waves – most of the time you’ll work 35-40 hours a week, while there are 4-5x a year that are more intensive (60 hour weeks) depending on travel and parents work demands. Flexibility and adaptability are essential!
COMPENSATION: $100K+ DOE! Family is flexible on comp based on experience and qualifications.
