Full-Time Live-In Nanny Needed for Single Mom + her 3 year Old Son in the Brentwood/Bel Air Area! They just recently relocated from NY and are looking to onboard a nanny here in LA as soon as possible. Her son has some developmental delays (he is non-verbal and in speech therapy), candidates with special needs experience (and experience with non-verbal children) are strongly preferred! Mom is currently working on getting him enrolled into a school that is near their new home!
Your day-to-day duties will involve getting the child up and ready for the day and handling his morning routing, taking him to school in the morning, picking him up at 2 PM and taking him to therapy appointments, the playground or to planned activities to keep him busy. When you get home you will prepare his dinner, help get him ready for bed and then you will be off at 7 PM (at this time mom takes over and spends time with her son until his bedtime, which is about 9 PM). If mom has an event that she needs to attend in the evening, you will handle his bedtime routine and remain on duty while she is out.
LOCATION: Brentwood/Bel Air, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
SCHEDULE: Primarily Monday-Friday BUT you NEED to be flexible to work weekends consistently as needed. During the week you will work in the mornings until school drop off, then have a break until 2 PM, then work from 2 PM-7 PM. Weekends would involve full days (including being ‘on duty’ overnight). Flexibility is KEY! (40 hours/week MIN. guaranteed, although most weeks will exceed 40 hours)
COMPENSATION: $30/hr Gross + Applicable Overtime
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Special Needs/Non-Verbal Children
- Valid Passport + Travel Ready (international and domestic travel happens relatively frequently, sometimes for weeks at a time)

They live in a 4 bedroom house, and it will just be you, the child and the mom. In addition to having your own room, mom will also provide food for you in the house.
Mom is looking to hire ASAP, you will have the opportunity to interview and trial in the home to ensure it’s the perfect match. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, caring, patient, familiar with Montessori methods (or open to learning), tech savvy (to communicate with mom via cell phone, and to handle the baby monitor or devices), and will work with her son on his speech development and milestones!
