The sweetest family in Lookout Mountain (Chattanooga), TN, is seeking a kind, experienced and educationally-minded nanny to join their team! They have a delightful 2.5-year-old daughter and are awaiting the arrival of their second daughter this December. They have an incredible WSN NCS secured for the first 4-months, a local nanny, and mom is SAH and hands on, but prefers working alongside a partner when not running errands or assisting with her husband’s business. The goal of having 2 nannies is to ensure each of their girls has 1:1 care, something very impotant to them. This lovely couple are not only soulmates, but best friends, and their daughter, a brilliant and perceptive little girl, is the light of their lives, embodying sparkle and joy! She enjoys everything from teatime and baby dolls to swings, books, and animals. Attending school 2x a week (Tues/Thurs from 9a to 2p), she is talkative, intuitive, and eager to learn, picking up new words and phrases quickly. The family is looking for a structured, kind, gentle, and active nanny who is passionate about child development and creativity. The ideal candidate should be socially aware, knowing when to step up and when to give the family space, while always maintaining a positive and upbeat demeanor. The family hopes to find a nanny who is comfortable with and respectful of their Christian values, including encouraging the girls to say their prayers each night.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and engaging in educational and age-appropriate activities
- Preparing well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks for the girls
- Driving to and from school and other activities
- Assisting with light housekeeping and laundry related to the girls
- Collaborating with parents and providing occasional support with family events
- Encouraging the girls each night to say their prayers
LOCATION: Lookout Mountain, TN – This is a charming community just outside of Chattanooga!
ACCOMMODATIONS: Private, fully furnished 2-story carriage house (connected to the main home via a carport). There is a sitting area with a TV on the 1st floor, and a bedroom, full bath, and kitchenette on the 2nd floor. Nanny will have access to a vehicle for personal use.
SCHEDULE: You will work 5 days a week (Mon-Fri or Tues-Sat; family still determining their needs) – please be flexible! General schedule is 45-50 hours weekly, between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Please be comfortable working up to 60 hours when needed!
COMPENSATION: $30/hr gross (on payroll), along with excellent benefits including 2 weeks PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401K, and more! Housing and utilities are fully covered, plus access to a family vehicle with insurance provided!!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong infant and toddler experience
- Strong understanding of early childhood development
- Creative and educationally-focused approach
- Pet Friendly – they have a Golden Retriever and a Persian cat!
- Valid Passport + Travel Ready; Nanny will accompany the family on two trips per year. Destinations may include Scotland, Park City (UT), Florida, New York, and Boston.
- Second language a PLUS, but not required!
- Vaccinated – Tdap + Annual Flu Shot Required; Covid initial series preferred, but not required
- Strong Swimmer; comfortable in the water with children
