This family in Venice, Los Angeles is seeking a warm, engaging, and developmentally minded nanny to care for their 1-year-old son beginning in early February! This is a part-time, weekday position (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00/1:00 PM) for approximately 4–5 hours per day for at least one-year. As first-time parents, they are looking for a nanny whose role goes beyond supervision, someone who brings a strong understanding of early childhood development and can thoughtfully support their son’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth through intentional, play-based care!

COMPENSATION: $35-$40/hr Gross Depending on Experience
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8AM-12/1PM (20-25 hours a week)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong Understanding of Early Childhood Development and age-Appropriate Communication and/or Background in Early Childhood Education
- Montessori training or Montessori-style experience preferred
- Hands-on experience caring for toddlers (around 1 year old)
- Fully Vaccinated (standard vaccines, MMR, flu, COVID)
- Mandarin language skills a plus (not required)
- Valid driver’s license (no driving required)
The nanny will spend the mornings actively engaging the child in playful, educational, and sensory-rich activities that support fine motor development, early communication, and social awareness. Responsibilities include reading aloud, incorporating learning naturally into daily routines, and offering gentle guidance as the child navigates new experiences. Around midday, the nanny will assist with and supervise one meal (lunch) and may take the child outdoors for playground visits or outdoor play. No nap support is needed. The family values a caregiver who is playful, relaxed, and fun, yet purposeful and confident in offering constructive, age-appropriate guidance to help their child build emotional awareness and adaptability.
The ideal candidate will have an educational background in early childhood, with Montessori training or experience strongly preferred, and hands-on early education experience. Mandarin-speaking candidates are a plus, though not required. Health and safety are a top priority; candidates should be fully vaccinated, including standard childhood vaccines, MMR, annual flu shot, and COVID vaccinations. A valid driver’s license is required, though no driving is involved. The family also has a small pool on the property, and light water play or swimming may be introduced in the future as the child gets older.
