Wonderful dual-working parents are seeking a bright, proactive and cheerful nanny for their 3 children (3, 5 and 7) at their home in Brentwood! All 3 kiddos are in school daily; the older 2 from 8:30am-3pm, the youngest from 9am-1pm. While you would start a couple hours before they get home, they are looking for someone who can work full days or adjust the hours to start earlier during school breaks, holidays, or if someone is home sick. In this role you will support mom (who works part-time from home); whether it’s tag teaming to grab different kiddos, or giving you sole charge, she’s looking for a strong partner to lean on as her husband often travels for work and has a very demanding schedule. Duties on a typical day will include taking inventory of groceries, household items and children’s items, running errands (grocery shopping, package drop off, returns, dry cleaning, purchasing any items that are needed, etc), tidying up the kids rooms/play areas, kid laundry, preparing after school snacks, school pick up, driving to activities (using your own vehicle), coordinating play dates, planning fun after school projects/games as well as enrichment activities (their school doesn’t give homework), preparing dinner for the family (nothing fancy, just simple + healthy – enough for everyone), assisting with bed time routine, and ensuring their bags are packed for the next morning!
LOCATION: Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA (90049)
SCHEDULE: Generally 40 hours; Mon-Fri 11am/12pm – 7/8pm + occasional evenings/weekends/overnights
COMPENSATION: $35-40/hr gross DOE (on payroll)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience caring for 2+ kids at once
- Must enjoy cooking – simple family style dinners
- Must be comfortable in the water; they have a pool and the kids LOVE to swim
- Must be comfortable using your own vehicle (family will compensate for gas)
- Open to Travel + Valid Passport
- Covid Vaccine preferred, but not required
The ideal candidate comes into work with a positive attitude (because she LOVES working with families), is innately helpful with a ‘can-do’ attitude (seeing what needs to be done and tending to it without being asked), has a great sense of time management (and can navigate the daily logistics of a busy family) and is flexible, adaptable and accommodating. You should have strong communication skills, keeping mom updated with schedule changes, activities for the day, and if the kids need something. These parents have no interest in micromanaging anyone, so as long as you get things done, communicate if things change, and are confident in your abilities – you’ll be golden!
