A private, high-profile family based in Montecito is seeking an experienced, emotionally intelligent career nanny to join their established childcare team in preparation for the arrival of their third child (due late April). This role will primarily focus on the newborn while working collaboratively with the other nanny who cares for the family’s older children (ages 1 and 8).
This is a dynamic, team-oriented position within a fully staffed household. Both parents are highly involved and value professionalism, discretion, and thoughtful partnership. The ideal candidate will bring a calm, grounded presence, strong newborn expertise, and a long-term mindset, with the ability to evolve alongside the family’s changing needs.
- Primary newborn care including feeding, sleep routines, and developmental support
- Tag-team collaboration with parents and existing nannies
- Transitioning into toddler support as the child grows
- Managing daily routines including bath time and bedtime
- Engaging children through creative play, sports, and developmentally appropriate activities
- Supporting gentle parenting philosophy (non-punitive discipline approach)

LOCATION: Montecito, CA
SCHEDULE: Full-time, approximately 9 hours per day / 5 days per week (always 2 days off), 40 hours guaranteed weekly

COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hour gross DOE plus overtime
