A warm and loving family is seeking a fun, energetic, and compassionate nanny to care for their delightful 4.5-year-old son during weekends! He has Down syndrome and is full of personality—silly, playful, and incredibly social. He has some words and can communicate his needs, often by guiding you toward what he wants, and thrives with someone patient, intuitive, and engaging who is excited to truly play and connect with him. He is still in diapers, with plans to begin potty training this year, and does best with a caregiver who brings a youthful, happy energy that he can bond with and look forward to each day!
The family also has a 6-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter who will be around and may occasionally join in activities (they LOVE their brother and will want to be involved with playtime and activities), though the primary focus will remain on the 4.5-year-old. A new baby will be arriving in April, and while mom will typically be home, she is looking for extra support during this busy time. Responsibilities include engaging their 4.5 year old child in play-based activities, preparing simple snacks, and occasionally driving him to or from school or to the park, so a reliable driver with a safe vehicle is required. The family would especially love to find someone who is comfortable taking him swimming during the summer months!
