A wonderful Mid-City family with two sweet children, ages 3.5 and 6.5, is seeking a proactive, reliable, and loving Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household. They are looking for someone who can balance after-school childcare with light household support. Their older daughter has special needs—she walks, runs, and communicates with some language—and will need to be taken to therapies after school, while their younger child attends preschool and finishes the day around noon. The family has had the same full-time nanny for 6 years and is eager to welcome someone equally warm, engaging, and dependable into their lives.
Duties
- Childcare:
- Preschool and school pickups. Schools located in Hancock Park and Koreatown)
- Driving to therapies and after-school activities.
- Providing a safe, patient, and loving environment.
- Engage and play with the children
- Family Assistant Tasks:
- Running errands and picking up medicine as needed.
- Light family laundry.
- Food prep and simple meal assistance.
- General household support to keep things running smoothly.
LOCATION: Mid-City
COMPENSATION: $30-35/hr plus mileage reimbursement
SCHEDULE: (approx. 20 hours/week):
Monday: 11:30 a.m.–4:15 p.m.
Tuesday: 11:30 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
Wednesday: 11:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Thursday: 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Friday: 11:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior childcare experience (special needs experience a plus, but not required).
- Clean driving record and reliable car, and comfortable driving kids to activities
- Up-to-date on TDAP, MMR, and annual flu vaccinations.
- Comfortable helping in both childcare and family-assistant capacities.
- Ability to swim (preferred, but not required).
- Must love kids and be proactive, organized, and kind.
