A truly awesome family in Eagle Rock is looking for a proactive, organized, and engaging Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to support their two school-aged children – an easygoing, theatre and dance-loving 8-year-old daughter and a sweet, sensitive, sports and hip-hop–loving 12-year-old son who can be headstrong at times. If you’re into astrology, mom says their daughter is a true Leo and their son is a true Scorpio! This is a hybrid role that’s roughly 50% household support (12pm-3pm) and 50% childcare (3pm-6pm), geared toward helping relieve the mental load from two busy parents – especially mom, who works from home in the entertainment industry and often carries the default-parenting weight. Duties include school pick-up, driving to activities, homework help, household organizational projects, laundry, meal prep, grocery shopping, errands, and preparing simple family dinners. The family loves to travel domestically and internationally and would be thrilled to have a nanny join them on future adventures.

SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 12pm–6pm (30 hours/week) with flexibility to stay later as needed and occasional overnights; upcoming January travel where both parents will be away and overnight support will be needed
RATE: $30–35/hr gross DOE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience working with school-aged and tween children
- Must love dogs – family has a high-energy Saint Bernard and a chill English Bulldog
- Confident driver with a clean driving record – MUST be willing to use personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Strong cook who can handle meal planning, grocery shopping, and simple, balanced family dinners
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to take initiative without heavy direction (mom struggles with delegating and wants someone who takes the reins!)
- Comfortable supervising swimming (kids love to swim!)
- Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain healthy boundaries with kids around structure and respect
- Pro-vaccine: MMR & Initial Covid Series (not concerned with boosters)
