Wonderful Return Clients in Santa Monica family are seeking an experienced, energetic nanny/family assistant to help care for their three children, ages 12, 10, and 5. The oldest daughter is a bright and independent pre-teen with high-functioning autism and ADHD. Their 10-year-old son also has ADHD. This is a highly collaborative position for a nanny who enjoys tag-teaming with Mom, who is very involved and looking for someone who can jump in, take initiative, and help keep the household running smoothly.
DUTIES:
- School pickups and transportation to activities
- Homework support, reading practice, and after-school routines
- Planning engaging activities, games, and outdoor play
- Grocery shopping and meal planning
- Assisting with family meal prep and cooking
- Tidying children’s spaces and helping maintain household organization
- Folding laundry and light family assistant duties as needed
- Assisting with pet care (dogs, cats, and hamsters)
- Bath and bedtime routines
- Occasional travel (1–2 trips per year)
LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, typically afternoons, varying start times from 12-2 until 8 daily. 35–40 guaranteed hours per week. The typical schedule will be afternoons and evenings; however, the family would love flexibility for additional hours, weekends, and longer days when available. During periods when Dad is traveling for work, the schedule may shift to split shifts to assist with school drop-offs and morning coverage. Summer months can offer additional hours for candidates interested in a larger schedule.
COMPENSATION: $30–$40/hr DOE
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience working with neurodivergent children strongly preferred
- Safe driver with a reliable vehicle
- A genuine enjoyment of meal preparation is a major bonus
- Comfortable managing multiple children with varying needs
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Open to occasional travel
- Long-term mindset
- Experience with multiple children at one time
