Sweetest Family in Marina Del Rey is seeking a thoughtful, patient, and engaging Nanny for their 5-year-old son with special needs. This sweet little boy has the best temperament and is one happy kiddo, however has the cognitive ability of a 3 year-old, so he requires the care of a super special caregiver. In this role, you will pick him up from school, drive him to appointments and therapies (and stay with him at both), go to the park or outings (bounce houses, children’s museums, libraries), engage in lots of play, assist in daily routines (bathing, getting him ready for dinner, assist with bedtime routine, and everything related to his safety and well-being. Family assistant duties include occasional family errands, occasionally letting the dog out for a quick bathroom break, and tidying up after the child finishes playing with his toys throughout the house. A Volvo SUV is provided to the Nanny for all official nanny activities.
LOCATION: Marina Del Rey, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri 12:30pm – 8:30pm (35-40 hours guaranteed weekly) 2 weeks paid vacation, sick days, holidays, occasional swap for weekend work if you want a couple of weekdays off.
RATE: Up to $35/hr
REQUIREMENTS:
- Special needs experience
- Up to date on ALL Vaccinations
- MUST be strong (the child is just under 50 lbs, he is mobile and walks, but you should be able to lift/move him as needed)
- Dog Friendly they have 1
- Passport-ready and able to travel
