A wonderful Brentwood family is seeking a smart, proactive, and nurturing nanny/family assistant to care for their bright 8-year-old daughter. They are hoping to find someone who can step into a true partnership with the family and become a long-term presence in their daughter’s life. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, academically minded, and enjoys engaging school-age children. The family would love someone who can help support their daughter’s learning, coordinate her busy schedule, and create fun, enriching experiences throughout the week.
DUTIES:
- School, camp, activity, and appointment pick-ups/drop-offs
- Planning fun and enriching outings
- Supporting homework and academic growth
- Coordinating activities and playdates
- Preparing simple meals and snacks
- Running child-related errands
- Restocking household essentials and monitoring inventory
- Tidying toys and maintaining organization in child-related spaces
- Waiting at appointments and coordinating schedules
- Occasional evening babysitting and weekend coverage
- Potential travel with the family
LOCATION: Brentwood, CA (Los Angeles)
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 40 guaranteed hours per week. The schedule varies based on the family’s needs, but most days are approximately 8 hours long. Some days may begin as early as 7:00–8:00 AM, while others may start later and occasionally extend into the evening. Flexibility for occasional weekend hours, date nights, and rare later evenings is appreciated.
COMPENSATION: $35-$40/hr DOE
REQUIEMENTS:
- Reliable vehicle and clean driving record
- Experience with school-age children
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable supporting homework and educational activities
- Ability to prepare simple meals
- Comfortable around a family dog
- Allergy awareness (child has a tree nut allergy)
- Interest in a long-term commitment
- Travel flexibility is a plus
