Full-Time Live-In/Live-Out Nanny Needed for a warm, health-conscious family splitting time between Ojai and Venice! This loving family is seeking an experienced, proactive nanny to care for their 15-month-old daughter. Mom and Dad are both extremely present, involved, and hands-on parents who truly enjoy spending time with their daughter and are looking for a nanny who can work collaboratively alongside them while also confidently taking initiative when needed. The family spends time between their Venice home, located just off Abbott Kinney and walking distance to the beach, cafes, and activities, and their serene Ojai property featuring horses, a pool, hot tub, and a private nanny suite. Family has private accomodations for nanny at both homes. Duties include all comprehensive childcare responsibilities such as feeding, dressing, diapering, supporting developmental milestones and routines, engaging in active and creative play, transporting the child to classes and activities, maintaining child-related organization and cleanliness, child’s laundry, checking and tidying “diaper/baby stations” throughout the houses, and assisting with healthy meal prep for the child and occasionally the family. The family follows a very healthy lifestyle with a mostly pescatarian diet and values outdoor time, creativity, and an active environment.
LOCATION: Ojai & Venice, CA
START DATE: Late June/Early July 2026 (August 1st at the latest)
SCHEDULE: Tuesday–Saturday. Typical schedule is approximately 9am–9pm or 10am–10pm with significant downtime/flexibility throughout the day (most days you’ll work a max of 8 hours). Candidate should be comfortable with a split-style schedule and flexibility for occasional travel and evening coverage. Sundays and Mondays off.
COMPENSATION: $120,000–$140,000 gross annually DOE, plus health insurance stipend!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MUST be local to Los Angeles or Ojai area
- Reliable vehicle for commuting between Ojai and Venice & job-related driving
- Comfortable traveling domestically & internationally; valid passport or willingness to obtain one
- Strong swimmer
- Animal friendly – family has 2 dogs & horses
- Open to annual flu shot and generally vaccine-friendly
- Comfortable working collaboratively with involved parents
- Spanish-speaking highly preferred
- Flexible, discreet, emotionally intuitive, and able to “read the room” well
- Proactive, organized, and confident managing child-related responsibilities independently
- Comfortable with a health-conscious lifestyle and healthy meal prep
The ideal candidate is calm, grounded, creative, active, and naturally nurturing, with the ability to blend seamlessly into a quieter, somewhat introverted household. The family would love to find someone who enjoys outdoor activities, travel, healthy living, and building a long-term relationship with their family. They are hoping to begin interviews immediately for a late June or early July start.
