A wonderful Brentwood family of five is seeking a proactive, nurturing, and highly organized Full-Time Family Assistant/Nanny to support their two children, ages 2 and 5, as well as their household. Both parents are busy professionals, and they’re hoping to find a long-term career nanny who is reliable, low-key, and confident in balancing childcare with family-assistant responsibilities.
The family also has a 4-month-old baby with her own dedicated nanny; however, you should be comfortable with infants in case occasional coverage is needed. Their five-year-old son may require occupational therapy, and while direct OT experience is not required, the family would love someone who can confidently carry over strategies learned in therapy and integrate them into his daily routines.
DUTIES:
Childcare:
- School pickups (children attend a center in West Hollywood).
- Driving children to therapies and after-school activities.
- Supporting homework, educational play, and developmental activities.
- Researching and planning fun, engaging, and age-appropriate outings.
- Helping to implement OT strategies into everyday life.
Family Assistant Tasks:
- Running errands and grocery shopping.
- Packing lunches and preparing light, healthy meals/snacks for the children.
- Tackling household organizational projects as needed.
- Taking initiative to ensure the household runs smoothly day to day.
LOCATION: Brentwood, CA
SCHEDULE: Approx. 45–55 hrs/week with a typical 12 pm start time. Must have flexibility to stay later on occasion, work a weekend day, or stay overnight when the parents are traveling.
RATE: $35–$45/hr DOE + overtime + full medical benefits
REQUIREMENTS
- Career nanny/family assistant with excellent long-term references.
- Experience with toddlers and school-aged children.
- Special needs/OT support experience is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, flexible, and low-key personality (able to “read the room”).
- Valid passport; must be able to travel
- Up-to-date on Flu, TDAP, and MMR vaccinations.
- Dog Friendly, they have 2 hypoallergenic dogs.
