A warm, organized, and welcoming family of 4 in Encino (near the Skirball Center) is seeking an exceptional full-time Career Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household long-term. The family has two sweet daughters, ages 8 months and 2.5 years, and employs an au pair whom they adore. Because they host a new au pair each year, they are looking for a collaborative team player who thrives in a shared-care environment and genuinely enjoys working alongside others. This role is a wonderful blend of childcare and family assistant responsibilities. The nanny will primarily focus on the baby throughout the day; the toddler will be at school or under the care of the au pair. You will be responsible for maintaining her schedule, supporting naps, preparing/feeding bottles and supporting baby led weaning, and engaging her in age-appropriate activities. During nap times and periods when childcare needs are lighter, the nanny will assist with a variety of household support tasks to help keep the home running smoothly and efficiently.

HOUSEHOLD DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Laundry for parents (au pair handles children’s laundry)
• Meal prep assistance for parents – think sous chef (chopping and prepping). Au pair handles children’s meals
• Running errands, dry cleaning pick-up/drop-off, and household tasks
• Daily tidying and resetting of household spaces
• Loading/unloading dishwasher and keeping counters clean
• Taking out trash, moving bins to and from the curb, retrieving mail, and breaking down boxes
• Vacuuming bathrooms daily
• Creating and maintaining organizational systems
• Light pet care, including feeding, letting dogs outside, and occasional walks (this is 3-6 months of the year that 2 elderly dogs will be staying with them)

LOCATION: Encino, CA (Near the Skirball Center)

START DATE: ASAP

SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with opportunities for additional hours including occasional evenings, weekends, and overnights.

COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hour gross DOE (paid legally/on payroll)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5+ years of professional nanny experience
• Fully vaccinated (TDap, MMR, annual flu shot, and initial COVID vaccine)
• Strong driving record; family vehicle typically provided; must be willing to use personal vehicle occasionally with mileage reimbursement
• Strong organizational and household management skills
• Dog friendly
• Spanish-speaking candidates highly encouraged to apply
