Evening + Weekend Live-In Nanny Needed for Single Mom + her 3 year Old Son in the Bel Air/Brentwood Area! They just recently relocated from NY and are looking to onboard a nanny here in LA as soon as possible. Her son has some developmental delays (he is non-verbal and in speech therapy), candidates with special needs experience (and experience with non-verbal children) are strongly preferred!
On Wednesday + Thursday your day to day duties will involve handling school pick up at 5PM (his school is about 6 minutes from their home), take him to karate or ballet, when you get home you will prepare his dinner, engage him in activities and get him ready for bed. If mom has an event that she needs to attend in the evening, you will handle his bedtime routine and remain on duty while she is out. Friday at 5PM your live-in weekend shift will begin by picking the child up from school, then you will be full-charge round the clock (24hrs) from Friday 5PM to Sunday 5PM. Please note that her son still co-sleeps, so you will share a bed with him during your weekend live-in shift! Please be pet friendly, mom has a dog and would love any support you would be willing to provide with him while you’re working (letting him out to go potty, checking his water dish to ensure its full, just the basics).
LOCATION: Brentwood/Bel Air, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
SCHEDULE: Wednesday-Sunday;
- Wednesday + Thursday from 5PM-9PM
- Friday 5PM through Sunday 5PM (Friday-Sunday you will live-in and provide round the clock, 24hr coverage)
COMPENSATION: $35/hr Gross + All Applicable Overtime
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Special Needs/Non-Verbal Children
- Valid Passport + Travel Ready (international and domestic travel happens relatively frequently, sometimes for weeks at a time)
- Comfortable Co-Sleeping With Child (when you’re on duty for overnight shifts)

They live in a 4 bedroom house, it will be be you, the child, the mom and the mom’s best friend! Mom will also provide food for you in the house. She is looking to hire ASAP, you will have the opportunity to interview and trial in the home to ensure it’s the perfect match. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, caring, patient, familiar with Montessori methods (or open to learning), tech savvy (to communicate with mom via cell phone, and to handle the baby monitor or devices), and will work with her son on his speech development and milestones!
