Wonderful first-time parents in Santa Monica are seeking an experienced, nurturing nanny for their 9-week-old baby. Both parents work from home and are looking for a long-term nanny who can grow with their family for years to come. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on infant experience and is confident supporting a young baby through feeding, soothing, contact naps, developmental milestones, and establishing healthy routines. This family follows a responsive, attachment-focused parenting style and is not interested in sleep training at this time. They would love to find a nanny who aligns with their parenting philosophy and can provide loving, patient, and attentive care while also offering guidance and support as their child grows.
Duties Include:
- Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for their 9-week-old infant
- Feeding, soothing, bouncing, and supporting naps
- Following the family’s responsive, attachment-focused parenting philosophy
- Maintaining the nursery and baby bathroom
- Washing, folding, and organizing baby laundry
- Cleaning and sanitizing bottles and baby-related items
- Unloading the dishwasher
- Tidying common areas used throughout the day
- Picking up and organizing dog toys
- Feeding and walking two family dogs occasionally
- Letting in and coordinating with service providers when needed
- Tracking developmental milestones and communicating updates to parents
- Assisting with age-appropriate activities, play, and enrichment as the child grows
- Providing occasional family assistant support as the family’s needs evolve
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm (specific schedule will be discussed during interview, but 40 hours/week guaranteed) with flexibility for dates and nights with advanced notice
Compensation: $35-$40/hr DOE, 2 weeks paid vacation, some paid holidays

Requirements:
- Extensive infant experience
- Longevity in previous positions
- Spanish-speaking not required but a bonus
- Comfortable working alongside work-from-home parents
- Dog-friendly and willing to walk/feed two dogs
- Open to occasional travel but not required
- Current TDAP and MMR vaccinations
- Willingness to receive an annual flu shot
- COVID booster not required, but considered a plus
