A busy family of four in Laguna Beach is seeking an energetic, organized, flexible, and upbeat full-time nanny to join their household and provide loving care for their two children, a 4.5-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. Dad is a professional baseball player and spends much of the season away, so Mom is looking for a strong partner who can help her manage the kids and the home while he’s away. The family has had long-term success with nannies who are flexible, hardworking, and willing to jump in wherever needed. They hope to find someone local to Orange County who knows the area well.
DUTIES:
- Provide loving, attentive care for two children (ages 4.5 and 2)
- Handle school drop-offs/pick-ups and coordinate activities
- Cook simple, healthy meals for the children
- Do children’s laundry and help with light household organization related to the kids
- Maintain structure and consistency while keeping the kids active and engaged (no screens)
- Travel with the family as needed, both locally and out of state
- Ensure children’s safety at all times
- Swim supervision preferred (family enjoys pool and beach activities)
- Be willing to pitch in wherever needed and work as part of a team with Mom
LOCATION: Laguna Beach, CA
SCHEDULE: 7 am–7 pm, Monday-Friday(with flexibility). Occasional travel and weekend coverage requested with notice (e.g., visiting Dad during playoffs or baseball-related travel)
RATE: $35-$40/hr DOE (plus OT)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience working with toddlers and preschoolers
- Must be physically fit, energetic, and able to keep up with two very active children
- Must be able to travel (domestic and international), passport required.
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to pitch in
- Up-to-date on TDAP and MMR vaccinations
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and strong knowledge of Orange County (preferred)
- Strong swimmer
- Spanish-speaking a plus, but not required
- Must love dogs (family has a 5-lb dog)
- Highly organized, hardworking, and able to multitask
- Warm, playful, cheerful, upbeat, and positive personality
- Genuinely loves being around children and brings energy to the role
