Wonderful returning clients in the Hollywood Hills are seeking an experienced, emotionally intelligent, and highly capable full-time Family Assistant to support their two school-aged children (a 7-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy). This role is ideal for someone who is mature, patient, proactive, and confident in managing both after-school routines and household support.
Their daughter can occasionally experience challenges with emotional regulation, so the ideal candidate will be calm, intuitive, and experienced in providing thoughtful, developmentally appropriate support during these moments.
Duties include:
- During the school year, the day around 12, School pick-up around 2:30–3:00 pm, summers look a bit differently
- Driving to and from extracurriculars
- Homework supervision and academic support
- Running errands, family laundry, and light tidying
- Helping with the family’s labradoodle (pet care, occasional walks)
- Occasional medication administration (training provided)
- Reinforcing appropriate boundaries and managing behavior supportively
LOCATION: Hollywood HIlls (Laurel Canyon)
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 12-8 guaranteed 40 hours/week (schedule may vary weekly; afternoons and early evenings required) with flexibility to come on a weekend or stay later occasionally.
RATE: $35–$40/hour DOE
REQUIREMENTS:
- Dog friendly
- College education preferred
- Strong communicator
- Emotionally mature and confident in setting boundaries
- Valid driver’s license and reliable car (mileage reimbursed)
- Spanish-speaking a plus, but not required
- Comfortable administering medication (with instruction)
- Patient, organized, and proactive
