First-time parents in Marina del Rey are seeking a knowledgeable, nurturing, and experienced nanny to care for their newborn baby boy beginning in January 2026. The family plans to start at approximately 30 hours per week, gradually transitioning to full-time by April when mom returns to work. Mom will be working in the office three days per week, while Dad works outside the home.
DUTIES:
- Provide attentive, loving care for a newborn with a strong understanding of infant development and milestones
- Engage in age-appropriate activities including tummy time, sensory play, reading, and early learning
- Handle all baby-related tasks including bottle prep, sterilizing pump parts, baby laundry, nursery organization, and tidying play areas
- Support the transition to solids when developmentally appropriate
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the baby
- Communicate daily updates with parents regarding routines, milestones, and needs
- Provide light household assistance related to the baby and general household assistance
LOCATION: Marina del Rey, CA
START DATE: January 2026
SCHEDULE:
- Approximately 30 hours/week to start
- Transitioning to full-time by April (40 hours)
- Typical hours fall between 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Flexibility for occasional date nights or weekends with advance notice is appreciated
RATE: $35/hr
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive recent experience caring for newborns
- Strong knowledge of infant development and milestone progression
- Up-to-date on TDAP, MMR, and annual flu shot
- Comfortable working alongside parents
- Organized, clean, health-conscious, and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable, professional, and nurturing
- Dog-friendly (small dog in the home)
