A wonderful family of 4 new to Santa Monica by way of NYC is seeking an engaging, depenable, and proactive Full-Time Nanny to care for their 2 girls, ages 2 and 4 years! This is a fantastic opportunity for a career nanny who loves working with toddlers and preschoolers and is excited to become a long-term part of a warm, busy household. The family is looking for someone who can confidently care for both children simultaneously while creating a fun, enriching daily rhythm filled with developmental play, imaginative activities, outdoor adventures, and opportunities to explore. They value a nanny who embraces each child’s individual personality and interests without judgment, encourages creativity and independence, and brings a positive, playful energy into the home. Responsibilities include all things related to the kids, following routines, preparing their meals, feeding, managing school and activity transportation, and handling the bath/bedtime routine. The family has a housekeeper, but need support with day-to-day upkeep, including tidying play areas, children’s laundry, keeping the kitchen clean, keeping diaper bag and stroller stocked/clean, and organizing the children’s closets and toys. The parents are hands-on and value a collaborative, communicative nanny who works well as part of the family team.
LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 40 hours; generally 10am-6pm, but flexibile for occasional evenings, weekends, and overnights.
COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hr gross, DOE + health insurance!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience with ages 2-6
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities
- Fully vaccinated, including COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters, Tdap, and annual flu shot
- Willing to use a personal vehicle for school and activity transportation; mileage reimbursed
- Open to occasional travel
