We’re excited to present an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, energetic, and highly adaptable live-in nanny to join a warm, active family in beautiful Dorado, Puerto Rico. The family has a toddler daughter and older children, with the nanny primarily responsible for the youngest. This is a full-time, 6-day-per-week position for someone who is hardworking, active, and naturally easygoing. The family has a busy lifestyle and values a nanny who is flexible, low-key, and willing to jump in wherever needed without being easily thrown off by changing plans or a full household. The family frequently travels via private aircraft and may enjoy yacht or sailboat trips, so comfort with travel and new experiences is important.
DUTIES:
- Provide attentive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for the toddler
- Manage busy morning and evening routines
- Plan and participate in activities, outings, appointments, and adventures
- Drive the children to activities and appointments using a provided vehicle
- Encourage an active, outdoorsy lifestyle through hiking, swimming, beach days, and other activities
- Assist with children’s laundry, tidying, dishes, and general child-related household upkeep
- Pitch in wherever needed with a strong can-do mentality; while the family employs multiple housekeepers, they value someone who is happy to help with dishes, clean up after the children, and keep things running smoothly
- Travel with the family as needed and adapt easily to changes in plans or schedule
LOCATION: Dorado, Puerto Rico, with additional residences in Colorado and NYC
SCHEDULE: 6 days/week, generally 8–10 working hours between 7:00am–7:00pm; approximately 60–70 hours/week
COMPENSATION: $100–120K gross annually, DOE
ACCOMMODATIONS: Private bedroom with en-suite bathroom
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of professional childcare experience with children ages 0–5
- Comfortable taking direction and adapting to the family’s routines and preferences
- Strong swimmer
- Confident driver with a clean driving record
- Comfortable with long days and a 6-day workweek
- Comfortable with frequent travel, including private air travel and potential yacht/sailboat trips; must not experience motion sickness
- Dog-friendly
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Tdap vaccination required
