A lovely first-time family in Valley Glen is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support their newborn daughter, who was born on June 3rd. This is a temporary overnight position beginning with coverage from July 4th–10th, followed by a longer-term commitment starting July 22nd for 8 weeks, with the possibility of extending to 12 weeks. Both parents work in the film industry and are currently balancing demanding careers, making reliable overnight support essential during this important transition into parenthood. The baby is thriving, eating well, and following a combination breastfeeding, pumped breastmilk, and formula-feeding routine. Responsibilities will include all overnight newborn care, feeding support, bottle preparation and sanitization, washing/sanitizing pump parts, maintaining feeding and sleep logs, monitoring developmental milestones, supporting healthy sleep habits, and providing guidance and reassurance to these first-time parents.
LOCATION: Valley Glen, CA
DATES NEEDED: July 4–10 & then again July 22 for 8 weeks with the potential to extend to 12 weeks
SCHEDULE: 7 nights per week, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM
COMPENSATION: $45–$55/hour DOE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive NCS experience with excellent references
- Fully vaccinated (Tdap, MMR, initial COVID series, and annual flu shot required)
- Dog friendly (family has a Mini Australian Shepherd)
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide calm, supportive guidance
- Must be comfortable following household preferences, including a scent-free environment (no scented detergents, perfumes, lotions, or creams)
