Busy and warm Sherman Oaks–based family of four is looking for a proactive and dependable Nanny/Family Assistant to join their home and support with both childcare and household management. The children are aged 5 and 9. Both parents have demanding careers, and they’re seeking an extra set of hands to help keep their home running smoothly.
DUTIES:
Childcare (Afternoons):
- School pickup and safe driving to extracurricular activities (school is ~25 minutes from home).
- Supervising playdates and planning engaging activities and outings.
- Assisting with homework and encouraging outdoor play.
- Supporting evening routines, including preparing kid-friendly healthy dinners, tidying up, and bath/bedtime prep.
Family Assistant Tasks:
- Family laundry and general household organization.
- Meal planning, grocery shopping, and light meal prep.
- Running errands and maintaining household inventory (ordering via Amazon, apps, etc.).
- Tidying common areas, dishwashing, and keeping children’s rooms organized.
- Helping manage family schedules and being a reliable extra set of hands.
LOCATION: Sherman Oaks, CA
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 1:00 pm–6:00 pm (25 hrs/week) Flexibility to occasionally adjust hours, stay later, or overnight with advanced notice.
RATE: $35/hr
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong driving experience with a clean driving record (must be comfortable with school runs and driving children).
- Enjoys preparing healthy, kid-friendly dinners.
- Proactive, organized, independent, and adaptable with strong time-management skills.
- Polite, kind, and flexible in supporting both the children and household needs.
- Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps for scheduling, grocery delivery, Amazon orders, etc.).
- Bonus: Spanish-speaking and/or based in the Valley.
