A wonderful family of four located in the western suburbs of Chicago (Hinsdale, approximately 17 miles from the city) is looking for an engaging, proactive nanny to help care for their two young children — a 2-year-old daughter and a 4-month-old baby girl. Dad works outside the home, and mom works from home. With two little ones, mom is looking for an extra set of capable, hands-on support to help the household run smoothly.

DUTIES

• Engaging, hands-on care for both children

• Playing with and supporting the toddler while the baby naps or is with mom

• Tidying up after the children

• Cleaning and maintaining baby equipment (bottle machines, feeding supplies, etc.)

• Helping maintain a calm, organized environment related to the children

LOCATION: Hinsdale, IL (Outside Chicago)

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm with flexibility to do date nights, or come on a weekend with advanced notice

• Approximately 25 hours per week

• Open to additional hours for the right fit

• Flexibility for occasional overnights when mom travels for conferences is a big plus

COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hour, DOE

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior experience caring for infants and toddlers

• Demonstrated experience caring for two children at once

• Dog-friendly and comfortable around a medium-sized family dog

• Engaging, hands-on caregiver who is present and attentive (off the phone while working)

• Reliable, organized, and comfortable supporting a work-from-home parent

• No travel required

• Flexible and willing to help with occasional overnights when needed
