Busy single mom in Mid-City is seeking a dependable, organized, and engaging Part-Time Family Assistant to help keep afternoons running smoothly while caring for her two wonderful children, ages 15 and 11. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with school-age children and is looking to become a reliable source of support for a busy household. The primary responsibilities will focus on school pick-ups, transportation to after-school activities, and helping keep the family organized by running errands and assisting with light household tasks. She’d love to find someone who is patient, calm, and willing to learn the best ways to support her son with special needs when he’s feeling frustrated. The family has established routines and can provide guidance on what works best. DUTIES INCLUDE:
- School pick-ups and transportation to and from after-school activities and appointments.
- Helping keep the children’s afternoon routines organized and on schedule.
- Running family-related errands as needed.
- Light household support, including tidying common areas, unloading/loading the dishwasher, folding laundry, and keeping the home organized.
- Providing a calm, supportive presence for both children.
- Walking the family’s friendly 65-pound Goldendoodle as needed.
LOCATION: Mid-City, Los Angeles
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, approximately 2:30-6:30 (20 hours per week).
RATE: $30-$35/hour DOE
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous family assistant experience.
- Patient, calm, and emotionally mature.
- Willing to learn the family’s preferred approach to supporting their son with special needs, special needs experience not required
- Reliable driver with a clean driving record.
- Dog-friendly and comfortable walking a medium/large dog.
- Organized, proactive, and dependable.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
