Warm, multigenerational household seeks a reliable, organized Family Assistant to keep weekday mornings running smoothly. The family consists of mom and dad, two children ages 13 and 16, and grandma. You’ll handle the teen school run to Alhambra, keep the home humming with light household support, prep simple dinners to reheat, run errands, and be a kind companion to Grandma. Both parents work full time; the family is accustomed to working with caregivers (they’ve had au pairs) and values a true team player.
DUTIES:
- School commute: Drive 16-year-old daughter to school in Alhambra; coordinate carpool as needed
- Depart 7:40 AM two days/week; 9:40 AM two days/week (~1.5 hr round-trip)
- After-drive support: Return home to tidy common areas, manage laundry, load/unload dishwasher, and organize kid/household items
- Errands: Grocery/pharmacy/returns, restock household essentials
- Meal prep: Prep simple family dinners to reheat or pop in the oven
- Grandma engagement: Friendly check-ins, light companionship, and help as needed
- General “see-it/solve-it” household assistance
LOCATION: Santa Monica, near the airport
SCHEDULE: 5 days/week, typically ~5 hours/day
- Early days: 7:30 AM–12:30 PM
- Later days: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM (with occasional extension as needed) (20-25 hours weekly)
COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hr gross DOE • Paid monthly
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong LA driving skills, clean record, reliable insured vehicle
- Experience supporting teens and multigenerational households
- Confident with meal prep, light housekeeping, and household organization
- Proactive communicator; punctual, dependable, and discreet
- Available by mid-October
