The family is seeking a compassionate, experienced long-term nanny to care for their joyful 6-month-old daughter in a warm and collaborative home environment. Both parents work hybrid schedules and are sometimes working from home, creating a supportive team atmosphere throughout the day. Their daughter is an exceptionally happy baby who greets the day with smiles and is beginning an exciting new stage of development, including recently starting solids. She is currently wearing a harness due to moderate hip dysplasia, which has shown significant improvement over the past 11 weeks. The harness will continue full-time for approximately six more weeks, and the family is looking for a nanny who is open to learning about her care, attending occasional doctor’s appointments, and approaching her needs with patience and compassion. The family’s current newborn care specialist will provide hands-on guidance to ensure the new nanny feels confident with all aspects of her routine and care.

The day typically begins with playtime, tummy time, and reading with one of the parents. Around 9:45 AM, the nanny will prepare a bottle, with feedings continuing roughly every three hours. At about 10:30 AM the baby goes down for a longer nap, ideally around 1 hour and 45 minutes, waking around 12:15 PM for another bottle. About an hour later she may enjoy a solid meal (currently once per day, soon increasing to two), prepared with the family’s easy-to-use baby food maker. The afternoon includes fresh air with a 30–60 minute stroller walk, followed by a shorter nap around 2:30–3:00 PM. After waking around 3:30–4:00 PM, the afternoon is filled with reading, singing, playtime, and ideally outings to the park. The day winds down with calmer activities, soft music, and a bath around 5:30 PM before the nanny’s departure at 6:00 PM.

The home is thoughtfully equipped to make daily routines smooth and efficient. The baby is fully formula-fed using a Baby Brezza Formula Pro (similar to a baby “Keurig” for bottles) along with a Bottle Washer Pro, and the family already has an established routine. Responsibilities include preparing bottles and meals, supporting naps and developmental play, enjoying outdoor walks or park visits, and maintaining a tidy, organized environment for the baby. Light child-related household tasks include baby laundry, keeping her room and play areas organized, ensuring baby supplies remain stocked, and maintaining baby equipment (such as cleaning and descaling the Baby Brezza machines weekly and refilling the Formula Pro with bottled water).

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of professional childcare experience, with extensive hands-on experience caring for infants. The family is looking for someone nurturing, attentive, and proactive who genuinely enjoys engaging with babies through play, reading, music, and outdoor exploration. CPR certification is required, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle. The nanny should also be up to date on standard vaccinations, including Tdap, flu, COVID-19, and others recommended by the family’s pediatrician. Above all, the family hopes to welcome a nanny who will become a trusted partner in their daughter’s care—someone who will embrace her joyful personality and support her continued growth and development with warmth and dedication.
