A warm and active family in Mar Vista is seeking an experienced and energetic nanny to care for their 19-month-old son. This bright and curious toddler is in the 96th percentile for height, loves to walk, run, ride his push bike, splash in the pool, and engage in plenty of active play. He has an incredible amount of energy, enjoys reading and being read to, and understands a great deal, though he may be slightly behind on his words. As with many toddlers, he experiences occasional tantrums (which began around 16 months), so the ideal candidate will be skilled in navigating these moments with patience, empathy, and gentle guidance.
Daily responsibilities include picking him up from school, preparing his lunches, snacks, and meals, as well as assisting with light meal prep for family dinners (his father does most of the cooking but appreciates support). The family values education and active engagement, so the nanny will prioritize reading, learning activities, outdoor adventures, and ample physical exercise. The role also involves being a reliable support to both parents.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 35 hours/week;
- Monday: 2pm-6/7pm
- Tuesday: 8am-6/7pm
- Wednesday: 2pm-6/7pm
- Thursday: 8am-6/7pm
- Friday: 2pm-6/7pm
COMPENSATION: $30-$35/hour Gross Depending on Experience
REQUIREMENTS:
- Recent Experience with the Toddler Age Group
- Comfortable with Dogs (they have two dogs in the home)
- Up to Date on Vaccinations
- Valid License + Reliable Vehicle (you will use your own personal vehicle to handle school pick up and transportation)
- Comfortable Swimming- they have a pool
The ideal candidate will have strong toddler experience, a proven track record of longevity in past roles, and the ability to keep up with a fast-moving child. A driver’s license is required, and having one’s own vehicle is preferred. The position is pet-friendly, as the household includes two beloved dogs—a friendly Pitbull and a Dachshund.
This is a local position starting as soon as possible. While travel is not expected in the immediate future, there may be occasional opportunities down the road.
