A loving Pasadena family is seeking an exceptional, experienced weekend nanny to join their childcare team and provide top-notch care for their three energetic boys, a 4-year-old and 1-year-old twins. This role is perfect for a highly capable, active, and safety-focused professional who thrives in a busy household and can manage multiple young children at once with confidence and ease.
DUTIES:
- Provide attentive, engaging care for three children (4-year-old + 1-year-old twins)
- Confidently manage all three children alone when needed
- Ensure safety at all times; every child lock must be engaged
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors
- Meal prep for children and assist with mealtimes
- Organize and tidy toys, play spaces, and children’s areas
- Support family routines and work seamlessly alongside parents or solo
- Enforce household rules, including minimal screen time
- Join in on weekend outings such as visiting the grandparents, the beach club, or trips to the family’s Santa Barbara home
- Comfortable interacting with extended family and reading the room in social settings
LOCATION: Pasadena, CA
SCHEDULE: Saturdays 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (flexibility to stay later or adjust hours) and Sundays 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional additional hours throughout the weekend. 16 hours guaranteed.
RATE: $35–$45/hr DOE (on payroll)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive experience caring for multiple young children, including infants and toddlers
- Twin experience strongly preferred
- Strong, active, and able to keep up with very energetic children
- Up to date on vaccinations: TDAP, MMR, annual flu shot
- Strong swimming skills
- Comfortable around large dogs
- Excellent safety awareness and ability to manage childproofing measures
- Flexibility on weekends
- Able to commit long-term
