This warm, easygoing Rancho Park family is looking for a calm, capable, and playful MOTHER’S HELPER to join their team as they juggle life with two young girls (ages 3.5 and 2) and prepare to welcome a baby boy in May 2026. The role is part-time to start—about 20–22 hours per week—with one morning shift focused on the 2-year-old and afternoon “tag-team” coverage with mom several days a week as both girls come home. Starting in September 2026, the schedule will naturally evolve as both girls attend school in the mornings, leaving the baby at home during the day. While it will be rare to manage all three kids at once, they’re hoping for someone confident and comfortable doing so if needed.

There’s also an opportunity for additional hours this summer while mom recovers from a C-section (though part-time availability is still welcome). If you’re nurturing, organized, proactive, and love creating a peaceful, playful environment for little ones, this could be a truly lovely long-term fit.

LOCATION: Rancho Park, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)

SCHEDULE: 20-22 Hours/Week (1 Morning Shift + 3-4 Afternoon Shifts Per Week).

EXAMPLE SCHEDULE: Monday (1:30-5:30pm), Tuesday (8/8:30am-12:30PM), Wednesday (1:30-5:30pm), Thursday ( 1:30-5:30pm), Friday (1:30-5:30pm). *The Friday shift is optional, and they are open to rearranging what day you do the morning shift as well.*

RATE: $38-$40/hr gross, depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience caring for newborn-school age group; knowledge of ages and stages of developmental milestones required
  • MUST be comfortable working with SAHM and being a team player
  • Safe Driver with a Reliable Vehicle
  • Up to date on vaccinations, including TDAP

Duties include all general childcare tasks relating to the overall growth and development of the children including but not limited to the following: maintaining a schedule, changing diapers + helping with potty training, snack/meal prep, planning fun, age-appropriate activities and outings, maintaining a loving, safe environment, and light housekeeping (kid laundry, cleaning up after meals, keeping their rooms/play areas clean and organized, picking up toys, etc.). Their dream nanny is someone with a big imagination, has a calming/patient energy about her, a bright and cheerful disposition, and naturally finds herself getting down on the floor to PLAY with the children (think Ms. Frizzle on the Magic School Bus meets Miss Rachel).

This family values reliability, initiative, and a nanny who can jump in without needing constant direction—someone who enjoys outdoor play, walks, yard time, and coming up with fresh activities that keep things fun yet mellow. The ideal candidate is an experienced, safe, and confident driver who’s very comfortable with car seat safety, enjoys taking kids to activities, and helps keep the household feeling calm rather than chaotic. Mom will be around often and truly appreciates a collaborative dynamic. They are eager to interview and have their new nanny start ASAP! Apply today!
