First-time parents in Beverly Grove (Mid City) are seeking a loving, experienced part-time nanny to care for their sweet 5½-month-old daughter. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with infants and is looking for a temporary position with the potential to transition into a full-time, long-term role. The family plans to begin with three months of part-time care, but their hope is to eventually hire a full-time permanent nanny, so if you are interested in that, great; if not, no problem. The family is looking for a nurturing, engaging nanny who will focus on their daughter’s development while providing an extra set of hands during the day. Mom will be home and breastfeeding, so the nanny’s primary responsibility is caring for the baby between feedings.
DUTIES
- Provide attentive, loving care for a 5½-month-old infant
- Engage in age-appropriate developmental play
- Take the baby on walks and spend time outdoors
- Assist with naps and maintaining daily routines
- Fold and organize the baby’s laundry
- Keep the nursery and baby areas neat and organized
- Prepare bottles and wash baby items as needed
LOCATION: Beverly Grove (Mid City)
SCHEDULE: Approximately 3 days per week, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM or 11:00 AM-3:00 PM. The family is flexible with both the days and hours and would appreciate occasional date night coverage with advance notice.
COMPENSATION: $35-$40/hour DOE
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous infant experience required
- Warm, nurturing, and engaging
- Knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate milestones
- Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
- Up-to-date on Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- Comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home mom
- Comfortable with one friendly family dog
