A lovely family from the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced, emotionally intelligent career nanny to join them at their summer residence in beautiful Santa Barbara. The family will be spending the summer in California and is looking for a warm, professional nanny to help care for their three children, ages 6 years, 2 years, and 3 months.
This role will focus on providing dedicated care for either the 6-year-old or the 2-year-old, allowing for individualized attention and meaningful engagement. Responsibilities will include planning age-appropriate activities, supporting developmental milestones, maintaining routines, and creating a nurturing and enriching environment. This is a dynamic, collaborative position within a well-run and fully staffed household. Both parents are highly involved and value professionalism, discretion, clear communication, and a team-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will bring a calm, grounded presence and be comfortable working alongside the family’s housekeeper, chef, and nanny team. Live-in or live-out options are available. For live-in candidates, a private nanny bedroom and bathroom will be provided.

DUTIES
- Managing daily routines
- Engaging children through creative play, activities, and outings
- Supporting emotional development with a calm, patient approach
- Managing bath time and bedtime routines
- Preparing meals and snacks for the children, the family has a full-time chef to support
- Maintaining the organization of children’s spaces and belongings
- Children’s laundry and light child-related household tasks
- Occasional errands and family assistant support as needed
- Tag-team collaboration with parents and existing household staff
- Traveling with the family
DATES: June-end of August 2026
LOCATION: Montecito, CA
SCHEDULE: Wednesday-Sunday 10:30 am-7:30pm
40 hours guaranteed weekly
COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hour gross DOE + overtime
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with both toddler and school-aged children
- Background or coursework in child development preferred
- Proven longevity in prior roles
- Strong swimmer and physically active
- Emotionally mature, reliable, and professional
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving schedules and needs
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Comfortable maintaining a fragrance-free environment
- Travel experience preferred
