Family of 3, soon to be 4, located in Brentwood (with a planned return to the Palisades in summer 2027), is seeking a full-time, long-term nanny beginning mid-August. They have a 4-year-old daughter who is in school until 2:30 daily, and are expecting a new baby in mid-October. Mom will be returning to work immediately postpartum, so newborn care should be second nature to you. The family will have a night newborn care specialist for the first 4–6 months, along with additional evening and weekend backup support. This role will initially be more flexible and centered on household and newborn preparation, including organizing and setting up the nursery, washing and preparing baby items, running errands, assisting with toddler meal prep, supporting general household readiness for the new baby, and spending intentional, quality time building a relationship with their toddler ahead of the baby’s arrival. Once the baby arrives, the position will transition into a more structured childcare-focused schedule primarily focused on the baby, and both children (after school hours) both children, along with light child-related household tasks, child meal prep, and daily routine support.

LOCATION: Brentwood, CA (with planned return to Pacific Palisades in summer 2027)

START DATE: Mid-August

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours.

  • Initial schedule (pre-baby) is flexible, ideally 10/11am–6/7pm depending on family needs.

COMPENSATION: $40-45/hr gross DOE

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong newborn experience a must

  • Warm, patient & emotionally attuned caregiving style
  • Dog-friendly – they have a small hypoallergenic dog
  • Up to date Tdap and flu vaccination preferred
  • Strong driving record (nanny car provided)
  • Open to travel (international & domestic). Typical domestic trips are 5-7 days, possibly 2 weeks internationally annually, and 4-6 weeks (at once) on the east coast during the summer months.

The ideal candidate is calm, steady, and deeply engaged, with a natural ability to meet children at their level while also providing structure and consistency. You should be confident navigating both newborn and preschool stages, proactive in supporting household and baby preparation before the infant arrives, and excited about a long-term commitment with a family they can grow with (ideally 3-5 years).
