An Awesome Family in Encino is seeking a wonderful temporary nanny to join their household for a 6-month position supporting their two sweet children, ages 2 and 4. The family is looking for someone who is engaging, playful, safety-conscious, and excited to spend their afternoons and evenings creating a fun, structured, and loving environment for the children. The ideal schedule is Monday-Friday from approximately 3:30 PM-8:30 PM, though the family would appreciate some flexibility with start and end times, as there may be occasional evenings when support is needed until 9:00 PM.
The family’s 2-year-old daughter is described as the “perfect baby” — she is easygoing, affectionate, and a joy to care for. She loves spending time with others and is known as the family’s little “lover girl.” She is currently in diapers at night but is about 80% potty trained. Their 4-year-old son is a hilarious, energetic, and loving little boy who thrives with structure and consistency. He loves being active, spending time outdoors, participating in activities, dancing, being silly, and showering his family with affection. He is a wonderful listener and a very sweet child, but he benefits from a nanny who can confidently set boundaries, provide guidance, and help him transition through his evening routine with patience and positivity.
The family currently has a beloved house manager/lead nanny who has been with them for over three years and typically works until around 4:30/5:00 PM each day. This role will primarily focus on supporting the children through their afternoon and evening routine, with the opportunity to work alongside an established and trusted member of the household team.
LOCATION: Encino, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday from 3:30pm-8:30pm
RATE: $35/hr Gross
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent Toddler Experience
- Comfortable Committing to 6 Month Assignment
- Dog Friendly (they have a sweet lab mix.)
Responsibilities will include engaging with the children through creative play, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate games; preparing and assisting with dinner; supporting a consistent bedtime routine; helping with baths, teeth brushing, pajamas, and getting the children settled for the evening; and completing child-related tidying such as cleaning up toys and children’s dishes. This family has a cook and housekeeper, allowing the nanny to remain focused primarily on the children. Their top priority is finding someone who will truly engage with their kids — someone who will put their phone away, be present, play, laugh, and help create a positive and connected evening experience. The ideal nanny will enjoy keeping up with an energetic 4-year-old, helping the children burn off energy before bedtime, and ensuring their nighttime routine runs smoothly and consistently.
