A wonderful family who recently relocated to Malibu from New York City is seeking an exceptional full-time Family Assistant/Nanny to become an integral part of their household and support their two amazing daughters, ages 11 and 6. The ideal candidate will enjoy the perfect blend of childcare and family assistant responsibilities. During school hours, you’ll take ownership of household organization by helping with children’s laundry, grocery shopping, meal prep, packing lunches, maintaining household inventory, organizing spaces, and creating a smooth daily rhythm for the family. After school, you’ll jump into the fun and active part of the role – managing school pick-ups from two different schools, coordinating activities, supporting homework, facilitating playdates, and creating engaging afternoons with the girls. The family has housekeeping support, so this role is focused on maintaining an organized, tidy and welcoming home environment rather than deep cleaning.
LOCATION: Malibu, CA
START DATE: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, approximately 11:00 AM-6:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional schedule adjustments (35-40 hours weekly). The family is looking for someone who is open to occasional date nights, weekend support, and overnight care when the parents travel.
COMPENSATION: $40/hour gross
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of full-time nanny experience, ideally with school-aged children
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and strong follow-through
- A true self-starter who naturally sees what needs to be done and takes initiative
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable pivoting as family needs evolve
- Confident managing school schedules, transportation, activities, and busy afternoons
- Strong meal preparation skills, including occasional family dinners, preparing children’s meals and packing lunches
- Comfortable with family assistant duties including errands, organization, and household support
- Excellent communicator who enjoys collaboration and welcomes feedback
