A wonderful family in Pacific Palisades is seeking a proactive, hands-on House Manager to care for their adorable 2.5-year-old twins! The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional childcare experience and is confident caring for multiple young children independently. Twin experience is a major plus! The family is looking for a highly organized, self-motivated team player who can seamlessly transition between engaging childcare and hands-on family assistance.
Schedule: Mon-Wed 7AM- 3PM, Thu-Fri 12:30PM- 8:30PM (40 Hours Weekly)
Location: Pacific Palisades, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
Compensation: $35-$40/hr Gross (on payroll), DOE (open to negotiation IF you love to cook!!)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional childcare experience
- Valid Passport for International Travel
- Experience with multiple young children; twin experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through
- Hands-on, proactive, and willing to pitch in wherever needed
- Comfortable with family meal prep; strong cooking skills a plus
- Flexible and adaptable with excellent communication skills
- Safe Driver with a reliable personal vehicle
- Fully vaccinated
Childcare & Child-Related Duties: Provide hands-on care for the family’s two young children, including safely driving them to and from school, assisting with dressing and daily routines, preparing and serving meals and snacks, managing naps and bedtime, and engaging them in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities. Maintain children’s belongings and spaces, including organizing clothing and closets, rotating toys, and keeping backpacks, school supplies, changing stations, feeding items, bath toys, car seats, and strollers clean, stocked, and organized.
Household Duties: Proactively support the household beyond the standard cleaning handled by the housekeeper. Responsibilities include family meal preparation and cooking, grocery shopping and list-making, maintaining an organized and properly rotated refrigerator and pantry, and monitoring and restocking household supplies. Handle family laundry and linens, including steaming clothes, making beds, and changing towels. Maintain the kitchen, playroom, and other high-traffic areas through regular tidying, light cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, wiping surfaces, loading and unloading the dishwasher, taking out trash and diaper pails, watering plants, and keeping children’s gear and frequently used household items clean and organized. Complete occasional deeper or as-needed upkeep, such as cleaning kitchen cabinets or windows, vacuuming drawers or the garage, sweeping the dog area, cleaning children’s shoes and bath toys, and addressing other areas that need attention. Additional responsibilities include changing bug traps, opening packages, and handling household and child-related errands such as returns, car washes, and package drop-offs.
Meal Preparation: Prepare fresh fruits and vegetables, children’s breakfast items such as egg bites and pancakes, simple proteins, snacks, and other family recipes as requested. A genuine enjoyment of cooking is highly preferred, and stronger cooking skills may be reflected in the hourly rate.
