A wonderful family in the Wilshire/La Cienega area of Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Postpartum Doula (PPD) for an immediate, temporary assignment supporting their newborn boy/girl twins! Born at 34 weeks and 4 days, their daughter is already home, and their son is expected to join the family shortly. These first-time parents are excited to be hands-on and involved in every aspect of their babies’ care, and are looking for a knowledgeable, nurturing professional who can provide newborn support, guidance, and education as they navigate life with twins. Responsibilities will include newborn care, establishing feeding and sleep routines, supporting the parents as they recover and adjust, and sharing practical tips and techniques specific to caring for multiples.
LOCATION: Wilshire/La Cienega, Los Angeles, CA (near La Cienega Park)
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE: Temporary position for a minimum of 4 weeks, with the potential to extend. 7 day-shifts per week, with 8–10-hour shifts.
COMPENSATION: $50–$70/hour, depending on experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive newborn care experience
- Twin or multiples experience strongly preferred
- NCS or PPD experience and training
- Reliable, dependable, and flexible, with a calm, easygoing demeanor
- Comfortable supporting hands-on parents and providing education without taking over
