Family of 4 in Bel Air is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and proactive part-time Nanny/Family Assistant to help care for their adorable 2.5-year-old daughter and newborn baby! With two little ones at home, the family is looking for an extra set of hands to help keep things running smoothly while providing loving, attentive childcare. The primary focus will be on their energetic toddler, so someone who genuinely enjoys this age, loves planning creative activities, and can keep up with a busy little one would be ideal! The family prefers a screen-free approach and would love someone who can engage their daughter through imaginative play, outdoor activities, reading, and age-appropriate learning experiences. During naps and downtime, they’d appreciate help with light household tasks such as dishes, laundry, meal preparation, and general tidying.
DUTIES:
- Providing loving, attentive care for a 2.5-year-old toddler and newborn
- Picking up the toddler from school on designated days
- Preparing snacks, simple meals, and assisting with meal prep
- Managing nap routines and helping with daily transitions
- Planning engaging, screen-free activities, creative play, and outdoor adventures
- Supporting age-appropriate learning and development
- Assisting with newborn care, including feeding, diaper changes, and soothing, as needed
- Helping with dishes and keeping the kitchen tidy
- Handling children’s laundry, light household laundry, and changing sheets
- Keeping play areas and common spaces organized
- Pitching in with light household tasks during naps and downtime, laundry, etc
LOCATION: Bel Air, CA
SCHEDULE: Approximately 20 hours per week, Monday and Friday from 11:30 AM–5:30 PM and Tuesday from 9 AM–5 PM. Flexibility with occasional weekend or date-night coverage with advance notice.
COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hour DOE.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional nanny experience with both toddlers and newborns
- Warm, nurturing, energetic, and patient personality
- Proactive, organized, and happy to help with light household responsibilities
- Creative and engaging, with a genuine love for toddler activities
- Comfortable with a screen-free approach to childcare
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working alongside hands-on parents and grandparents
- Excellent references and strong communication skills
