A wonderful Marina del Rey family is seeking a warm, proactive, and engaging nanny/family assistant to help care for their three children: a 2-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a 10-year-old stepdaughter who is with the family approximately 50% of the time. The parents are very involved and enjoy spending as much time as possible with their children, but they are looking for a dependable extra set of hands to help keep afternoons, evenings, and family life running smoothly. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, energetic, and enjoys becoming an extension of the family.
Duties Include:
- School pick-ups and transportation to activities
- Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks
- Children’s laundry and organization
- Keeping children’s bedrooms, play areas, and common spaces tidy
- Running family errands
- Grocery shopping and household organization
- Returning packages and coordinating vendors
- Assisting with homework and school projects
- Supporting the family’s daily routines and schedules
- Providing occasional evening and weekend coverage with advance notice
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, approximately 12:00 PM–6:30/7:00 PM
Two evenings per week, the schedule will extend until approximately 8:30 PM. 40 Hours Guaranteed Weekly, please have flexibility to start earlier on holidays, breaks, or sick days or occassionaly on a weekend
COMPENSATION: $35–$45/hour DOE
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience caring for multiple children of varying ages
- Excellent references
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable balancing childcare and family assistant responsibilities
- Up to on Tdap and MMR
- Looking for a long-term commitment
