Creative family relocating from Portland to Los Feliz is seeking a nurturing, highly engaged full-time nanny to care for their bright and curious 6-month-old daughter. This is a screen-free household, so the ideal nanny is fully engaged, off-phone, and naturally inclined toward hands-on, developmentally rich interaction throughout the day. Portuguese-speaking (particularly European Portuguese) is a wonderful bonus but not required.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Attentive, developmentally focused care for a 6-month-old
• Engaged, screen-free play (reading, sensory activities, exploration, language exposure)
• Supporting routines for sleep, feeding, and transitions
• Preparing bottles and meal prep
• Researching age-appropriate activities and developmental approaches
• Baby laundry and wardrobe organization
• Maintaining tidy, organized baby spaces
• Nursery upkeep and supply management
• Occasional light household support related to the child
• Feeding the family cat as needed
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
SCHEDULE: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM 40 hours guaranteed weekly, flexibility to cover date nights or come on the weekends with advanced notice
START DATE: Late April (around April 27)
RATE: $35–$40/hour DOE
REQUIREMENTS:
• Extensive infant experience
• Deeply engaged, screen-free caregiving style
• Warm, nurturing, and emotionally attuned
• Organized, reliable, and routine-oriented
• Proactive and detail-focused
• Up to date on vaccinations (Tdap, MMR, etc.)
• Great references
• Non-smoker
• Comfortable in a collaborative, communicative home

• Portuguese language skills a plus
