Wonderful family of four in Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a warm, confident, and proactive Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household! They have two children, a 3-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son, both of whom attend school full-time. Dad is a physician, and Mom stays home, so they are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team while also being comfortable taking the lead with the children independently. Their 8-year-old son is on the autism spectrum. He is high-functioning but can become triggered or dysregulated at times, so the family would love someone calm, patient, and confident who doesn’t panic when behaviors arise. Previous special needs experience would be wonderful, but it is not required for the right candidate! With both children in school much of the day, this is a true Nanny/Family Assistant hybrid role. The nanny will help with school transportation as needed, errands, children’s laundry, organization, and other household support, then transition into childcare when the children return home. On Sundays, the role is more childcare-focused.

DUTIES:

  • Provide warm, engaging, and attentive care for both children
  • Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups as needed
  • Help maintain consistent routines and structure
  • Engage the children in age-appropriate activities and outings
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
  • Run family and household errands
  • Fold and assist with children’s laundry
  • Keep children’s spaces and belongings organized
  • General Household Assistance
  • Assist Mom with day-to-day Family Assistant needs
  • Help the household run smoothly while the children are at school
  • Travel with the family on occasion if available

LOCATION: Rancho Cucamonga, CA

SCHEDULE: Sunday–Thursday, 8:00/9:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hours guaranteed, flexibility to stay later on occasion.

COMPENSATION: $35–$40/hour DOE on payroll + standard benefits

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Several years of professional childcare experience
  • Special needs/autism experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Proactive and happy to assist with Family Assistant responsibilities
  • Comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home parent
  • Reliable, organized, and communicative
  • Comfortable with a cat, no allergies
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • TDAP, MMR, and annual flu vaccination required
  • Open to occasional travel preferred

The ideal candidate is nurturing and engaging but also calm, grounded, and confident. The family is looking for someone who can connect with both children, provide their son with consistency and reassurance when he becomes overwhelmed, and comfortably transition between childcare and Family Assistant responsibilities throughout the day. Someone proactive who sees what needs to be done and enjoys becoming a trusted part of a family’s team would be a fantastic fit! Apply today! Interviewing ASAP!
