OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES!! A loving family in Orangeburg, South Carolina is seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to help care for their remarkable 7-year-old adopted son with autism. After experiencing significant early-life trauma, he has spent the last two years in a stable, nurturing home where he has made incredible progress. As his adoptive parents navigate some health challenges of their own, they are eager to welcome another strong, dependable adult into their support system to help ensure he continues to thrive. Their son is non-verbal, currently working toward potty training, and requires close supervision due to a history of elopement. He attends a wonderful specialized school and is happiest when engaged through connection, play, and positive interactions. The family already employs a kind and devoted nanny who provides weekday support, but they are looking for a more experienced caregiver to take the lead and serve as a true partner in his care. This is an extraordinary opportunity for someone who finds purpose in meaningful work and wants to make a lasting difference in a child’s life. The position includes a private guest cottage located on the property, offering both independence and convenience. Responsibilities include providing attentive, hands-on care; transporting him to and from school and activities (using provided nanny car); supporting daily routines and toileting goals; encouraging child-led play and learning; and collaborating with the existing nanny on outings to museums, parks, gymnastics, and other enriching experiences. Above all, the family values patience, warmth, and a connection-first approach, and they are seeking someone who shares their commitment to helping their son continue to grow and flourish.
